Can you manage the test profession in SimCorp?We are looking for a highly qualified candidate to take the position as test architect in our Development Department. The position is new and you will be part of designing the role and deploying it successfully in the organization. The test architect's primary responsibility is to manage the test profession across the entire development department.Our Development Department consists of six development units with approximately 400 employees. The units are organized according to our business domains (Front, Middle and Back office, and Financial instruments) and are fully responsible for the sub-deliveries within their domain i.e. designing, coding, testing and documenting. Today, we are approximately 60 QA analysts in the six units, distributed in 4 different locations: Copenhagen, Kiev, London and Bad Homburg.As test architect you will report directly to a member of the Development Department's Senior Management Team and you will be working closely with the same team with regard to defining strategies and objectives within test. Additionally, you are expected to deploy the strategies and regularly report status to the Development Department's Senior Management Team. You will also work closely with the test experts from each development unit.Focus areasAs test architect you will be a key player in ensuring a professional focus on test throughout the organization, making sure that test is effectively executed. You will be responsible for improving the way we perform test, i.e. improving the procedures and tools used.Main responsibilities    *      Setting direction for test in our Development Department    *      Clearly communicate expectations to the QA analysts in how to perform test    *      Define and deploy strategies for test    *      Communicate best practices within test, i.e. collecting input from the development units, evaluating this and selecting best practices to be deployed to all development units    *      Co-operate closely with the test experts in each development unit to ensure effective working procedures and quality of the test performed    *      Co-operate closely with the QA environment group responsible for the automated test, test tools and environment for test    *      Defining necessary competences for QA analysts and the steps for competence development for a QA analyst    *      Build organizational strength by recruiting strong talents for test QualificationsAs an ideal candidate, you bring the relevant academic background and practical experience within test.
