Cancer Stem Cell   Innovation CenterEight postdoctoral scientist positionsEight positions for postdoctoral candidates are available at the Cancer Stem Cell Innovation Centre at the Institute for Cancer Research, Rikshospitalet – Radiumhospitalet Medical Centre in Oslo, Norway. We will investigate the presence and importance of cells with stem-like properties in various cancer types for cancer development, metastasis and therapy response, and will focus on development of related diagnostic tools and therapy targeted to stem cell markers.The positions will be associated with one of the partner groups, but be part of an extended interdisciplinary team supported by a core facility for cellular and animal work and flow sorting. Among the partners, we have groups with top expertise in cancer research, genomics, bioinformatics, cellular and molecular biology, proteomics, stem cell, animal and patient studies, molecular imaging, immunotherapy, and cellular pharmacology and pathway targeting. We are looking for candidates with expertise in these areas, and the specific requirements for each single position are given at our website. The candidates need to be flexible and have good communication and collaboration skills, and personal properties, as judged by references and interviews, will be given weight.
