Department of Exercise and Sports ScienceUniversity of CopenhagenAssociate Professorship in Educational Science of SportAt the Section of Human and Social Science, Department of Exercise and Sports Sciences, University of Copenhagen, a position as associate professor within the field of educational science of sport is available for appointment from January 1st, 2008, or as soon as possible hereafter. The applicant will be member of the research group on "Body, learning and identity".The position is permanent. The work will include empirical and theoretical research and teaching with focus on pedagogical issues in relation to sport and physical education. Therefore the applicant must be qualified within this field. The applicant must have expertise and knowledge in regard to the Danish sport system and Danish health politics.The research tasks include the applicant’s own scientific work. Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State (hyperlink), and is based on seniority and is presently up to DKK 316,886 per year (+ pension up to DKK 54,188) and an annual supplement of DKK 75,632 (+ pension DKK 12,933). Negotiation for further supplement will be possible.If the applicant for the position has not acquired sufficient teaching experience through the appointment as assistant professor or acquired corresponding teaching experience, appointment will be made on probation for up to 1½ years.Applications must be in English and include in the following order: - Curriculum vitae (including e-mail address).- Description (max. 5 pages) of current and proposed research including its relation to other research at the Department- Documentation of teaching experience and other qualifications- Full contact details (name, address, telephone & email) of 2 referees- Complete list of publications with indication of which papers (max. 10) the applicant considers particularly relevant.- An account for the applicants plans to contribute and develop the Departments educational and scientific curriculum.
