Do you want to focus on Quality, Environment, Health and Safety? In the position as QA/EHS-Manager (Quality, Environment, Health & Safety) you will be employed at Howden Denmark A/S (HDK), where you will be responsible for quality, health, safety, internal and external environment. Howden Denmark A/S (HDK) is developing, designing and supplying variable pitch axial flow fans to the power industry worldwide with production colleagues in Ireland and China. HDK is a part of Howden Group, a leading supplier of air and gas handling equipment to industries of power generation, petrochemicals, mining, steelmaking and cement manufacturing. By 2008 HDK employed 150 people and had a turnover of more than DKK 900 Mill., 95% of which is exported. Field of Responsibility and AssignmentAs QA/EHS-Manager you will be responsible for the many HDK quality-, environment-, health and safety duties, and for a continuously improvement of our quality, occupational safety as well as our internal and external environment. This means that you will take care of the daily maintenance and optimization of our QA/EHS management system, handling procedures as well as deviation reporting and ensure that environment and safety is in order – incl. the safety of HDK engineers on sites round the world. You will also be responsible for the development of the work related to “Healthy Howden” where a lot of initiatives have been taken – i.e. Company Sport, “Howdy Fitness”, Diet Lectures, Health Check, “Walk-and-Talk”, etc. Alongside you will collaborate with both internal and external auditors and be responsible for a consisting fulfillment of HDK's standards and applicable regulatory requirements. In addition to that you must coordinate the daily safety duties between management and the Safety Committee. You make sure that the current developments are coordinated and reported in relation to the global organization. You have management responsibility for the QA/EHS organization and its employees which includes internal and external quality, environment, safety and LEAN, pt. 5 employees. You refer to the Managing Director and are also included in the HDK management team where you will have a major influence on the future development of our company.Background / Profile We imagine that you have a background as Mechanical Engineer or similar with EHS qualifications and practical experience in dealing with EHS issues. You must have certain knowledge of MS Office and quality control, for example ISO 9001, 18001 and 14001. You are certified Lead Auditor / Auditor, preferably in all three systems.Irrespective of your background, it is important that you are concerned about quality, environment and safety, and that you manage to put all related objectives high on the agenda. At the same time you must be an effective and result-oriented problem solver/crusher with a strong overview, a good business understanding and courage to make difficult decisions. You are persistent and have a positive view of things that gives you the ability to motivate many different people. You master the English language in writing as well as verbally.
