Global Patient Safety has the overall safety responsibility of all LEO Pharmadrugs - whether in clinical development or marketed.The position as head of the Safety Scientific Management section is new and offerschallenges and good development opportunities for the right candidate, being part ofan organisation with strong commitment to performance and development of its businessand its people.You will lead an established team of Safety Scientists and Safety Physicians in theSafety Scientific Management section. The section is responsible for evaluation of singleadverse event cases, detection and evaluation of safety signals, aggregate reporting,product labelling and chairmanship of internal Safety Groups.ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include:• Development of competencies within the section to ensure creation of a highperformanceteam• Ensure high-quality output from the Safety Scientific Management section• Have an overview of the safety profiles and any emerging safety concerns in relationto LEO Pharma products• Drive continuous improvement and ensure collaboration and knowledge sharingwithin the Safety Scientific Management section, Global Patient Safety and LEOPharma Affiliates and Regional Offices• Collaborate with the medical, regulatory and marketing departments in relevantcross functional teams• Play an active role as a member of the Global Patient Safety management teamJob QualificationsYou have a medical degree and management/leadership experience. You have severalyears of experience from working in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably within thepharmacovigilance area. As a person you are pro-active and open-minded with senseof humour and you have a strong value based style in decision making. You see challengesrather than problems and have the ability to set direction and contribute toconstructive change and dialogue.
