KTH is the largest technical university in Sweden. Education and research cover a broad spectrum within natural sciences and engineering, as well as architecture, industrial engineering and management, urban planning, work science and environmental engineering. There are circa 13,300 full-year undergraduate students, 1,500 postgraduate students and 3,900 employees. The School of Electrical Engineering conducts research and education on the highest international level in Electric Power Engineering, Fusion and Space Plasma Physics, Telecommunications and Networks, Information and Control Systems (NICS).The division of Electromagnetic Engineering at the School of Electric Engineering, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), has research projects within communication antennas, antenna systems, wide-band radar antennas, computational electromagnetics, electromagnetic compability, direct and inverse scattering as well as the development of complex materials and electromagnetic interactions with materials, including nano-materials. The research has a strong theoretical content, but with experimental verification of new results either at the department or together with a collaborating partner. Often, the research done at the department is closely connected to different industries in Sweden.DescriptionThe division of Electromagnetic Engineering is now searching for a highly motivated researcher for a postdoctoral position with excellent academic credentials combined with quality and compelling research projects. The candidate accepting this position will work mainly with research, which also involves publishing in international scientific journals and at international conferences. The candidate is expected to teach one undergraduate course a year. The position is for two years, renewable after one year based on the review of progress made. A top performance will give the candidate an excellent opportunity for application to permanent position, subject to availability.QualificationsKnowledge of electromagnetic theory, antennas, antenna systems, or computationalelectromagnetics is desired, so also are skills in the mathematics, physics, and experimental electromagnetics. The candidate is expected to have a recent PhD degree in the above mentioned areas or in a subject near the field.
