About Tarsier Studios;
Our main goal is to make fun, innovative and graphically superb games. We believe that a small tight team with love, compassion, dedication and top notch expertise can do anything.
Today Tarsier consists of 20 brilliant minds who want to make games with that extra magical touch and we're now looking for creative geniuses with great personalities to join our family.
We've worked with Ageia, Media Molecule, Sony Computer Entertainment and more with everything from outsourcing of our crafting skills to developing full titles on Console and PC, striving for excellence in everything we do.
You might recognize our magic fingers in Rag Doll Kung Fu™: Fists of Plastic on PS3, Media Molecule’s LittleBigPlanet™:GOTY edition on PS3 and our own beloved concept City of Metronome.
Our main focus is to create, design and develop our own games based on our own technology. Offices are currently located in Karlshamn, Sweden.
About you;
You are a network expert, practically born with a MAC-address. You've designed big network solutions before and you want to take it to the next level.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design, implement, optimize and document a large scale online multiplayer client and server solution.
* Design and implement tools and applications used for data mining / analyzing and server operations.
* Work closely with the engine and gameplay teams to collaborate on core systems.
* Research and develop network models and solutions.
* Accurately estimate schedules and deliver high quality products on time.
* Lead and mentor a small team of network programmers.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIESYOU HAVE
* Very strong C++ programming and debugging skills.
* Write clear, maintainable, well documented and thread safe code.
* Ability to plan, document and maintain a reliable programming schedule.
* Experience with large client / server projects.
* Experience with multi-core architectures and multi-threaded programming.
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team mates is essential.
* Strong desire to build cutting edge technology.
* Love challenges and are willing to take you and your team to the next level.
* Understand distributed systems architecture and development.
* Creative, focused, results oriented, motivated and an energetic problem solver.
* Have a strong desire for continuous personal and professional development.
* Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
* At least 2 published titles credited for the design and implementation of real-time online multiplayer systems.
QUALIFIED EXPERIENCE
* Experience working with PlayStation3.
