Maersk Oil is looking for a Construction Supervisor for the Gorm platform in the Danish sector of the North Sea.The Construction Supervisor is overall responsible for the safe and efficient execution of all offshore construction activities, such as• facility modifications and extensions• commenting on projects and suggestions for efficient execution• finalisation of projects, including documentation• structuring of working teams• risk assessmentin accordance with activity plans, job cards and projects prepared by the onshore construction department. All offshore construction work is performed in close cooperation with the Production and Maintenance departments on the platform.The Construction Supervisor is in charge of offshore construction teams consisting of assistants, foremen and technicians and is overall responsible for the training and development of these teams.The new Construction Supervisor will go through a training period that will include a number of safety related and technical courses; the length and contents of this training period will depend on the candidate’s educational background and experience from previous jobsQualifications The candidate should have an educational background as marine engineer, engineer or skilled craftsman. Candidates with experience in piping/structure work and with electrical knowledge will be preferred. Offshore experience will also be preferable.Proficiency in both written and verbal English is a prerequisite.
