Maersk Oil is seeking a Senior Petrophysicist for the Exploration & New Business Department at our head office in Copenhagen. The positionThe Senior Petrophysicist will be a member of the department’s expert team and will work on specific petrophysical tasks as well as being part of integrated project teams contributing to regional studies, prospect evaluations and field appraisal studies. Part of the job is also to contribute to drilling, logging and testing programmes and to support and evaluate ongoing logging operations around the world. The candidate will also play an important role in data room visits for bidding rounds, and mergers and acquisitions.The personThe right candidate holds strong analytical and communication skills and has an academic background. MSc. level or higher in a relevant subject (engineering, physics, or geology) is required, and a minimum of 8 years’ industry experience. Specific experience in worldwide exploration is an advantage.
