TECHNICAL SERVICE / SUPPORT RUMINANTS MANAGERFunction: TECHNICAL SERVICE / SUPPORT RUMINANTS MANAGER - RUMEN PROTECTIVE PRODUCTSReports to: COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR RUMINANT PRODUCTSKey Tasks :To be the 'fount' of all knowledge with regard to the protected amino acids for ruminants and Rumen protective Vitamin AProvide high level technical support and product/programme training to the Kemin Sales ForceProvide high level technical support to customers in formulation practices and field projects initiated by the teamTranslate project/research findings into technical/commercial/sales toolsWrite technical articles and also present at Nutrition conferences/farmer meetingsBe fully conversant with :Market size/cow numbers etc. by countryFeeding practices at farm levelOutlets for milkEconomics of milk production/payment schemesFeed compounding industryFeed formulation practicesKey conferences to promote productsDevelop high level contacts at Agricultural Institutes/Research Institutes/professional bodiesCreate and share ideas with the "team"Participate in budget preparation, particularly in Opex for trial/R&D needsTo initiate any trial work necessary to enable concepts to be verified in practical termsResponsibilities and authorities:Accountable for technical support and technical development in selected European countriesAccountable for project/trial/R&D needs (part of marketing team)Maintain Opex (personal) within budgetAccountable for collaboration with marketing/R&D in HerentalsCommercial responsibility is "in built" into this job function as part of the "TEAM", hence profitability of the project is also a Key accountability of the functionQualification :University degree in animal science, preferable Animal Nutrition.
