The Department of Marketing and Statistics at the Aarhus School of Business, University of Aarhus (ASB) invites applications for one Chair (Full Professorship) in Marketing Research. The successful candidate will be expected to take up appointment by 1 April 2010 subject to mutual agreement. Marketing research focuses on the collection, processing and analysis of information on topics relevant to marketing, such as marketing mix evaluation, sales forecasting, customer analysis, competitor analysis, industry evaluation and monitoring of performance. It is expected that the successful applicant has extensive experience building models for marketing decisions based upon psychological and/or economic theory and an extensive knowledge about and experience with estimation of such models based upon statistical techniques. Multivariate analysis and microeconometric models are especially relevant. The full professorship is a permanent position involving research, teaching and administrative duties. The amount of work each professor is asked to undertake may vary periodically according to the rules of the institution.
