The new Corporate Technology and Projects (CTP) department will be responsible for field development activities and for building and maintaining Maersk Oil's technological excellence within petroleum engineering, drilling, engineering and project management disciplines.CTP is seeking an experienced Data Manager for their Data Management Team in Corporate Petroleum Engineering in the Copenhagen office.The Data Management Team is responsible for project administration, data loading and data QC for the bulk part of the seismic interpretation environment in the Head Office in Copenhagen – a cross functional service not limited to the CTP Department.The Team is further responsible for project data exchange with affiliates and third party.The Position:This position is a technical role in which the key responsibilities are:Administration of project data in close collaboration with usersPreparation/manipulation and loading of seismic and well data into seismic interpretation projects.Extraction and reformatting of project data for internal or external clients, e.g. data rooms and other applicationsTransfer of data packages between affiliatesEnsuring compliance with current best practicesRefinement and development of techniques and procedures for efficient handling of dataTo succeed in this position, the Data Manager must be a team player with in-depth and proven data management skills within a range of industry applications like e.g. Landmark, Petrel, ArcGIS.
